The Dayton Area is at the Cross Roads of America, the intersection of Interstates
75 and 70, two of the most heavily traveled interstates in the United State.
The interstates combined with the Emery Air Freight hub for global operations
make the area an excellent location for warehouse distribution.
More than 5.6 million people live within a 90-minute driving radius of Dayton,
making the Greater Dayton Area home to the nation's tenth largest 90-minute
over-the-road market. The area is also one of the nation's largest 90-minute
air markets, reaching more than 137.7 million people within a 600 mile radius.
Montgomery County is the fourth largest county in Ohio and its largest city,
Dayton, is home to innovation, with more patents per capita than any other city
in the nation. Montgomery County was the home of the Wright Brothers and where
they did their research and development to invent powered flight. Montgomery
County was also the home of Charles Kettering, the inventor of the automobile
self-starter.
The primary employers in the area include Wright Patterson Air Force Base,
General Motors, and Delphi. The area serves as the world headquarters for many
fortune 500 companies. Natural resources combined with a strong economy, arts
and cultural events and many regional activities and festivals make Montgomery
County a destination for companies, families and tourists.
